The Penal Code, 1860 is a important set of regulation and the main substantive Criminal Code in Bangladesh. This course provides students with a genaral understanding of the basic principles of criminal law. The Penal Code includes all the relevant offences. A proper understanding of crimes and the casual factors for the occurence of crime is extrimely important in the larger context of our nationwide development. The course will ensure students both in common theoritical and practical knowledge through various cases which will give them ability to scrutinize criminal problems.
